I am using this device to improve the speed on my Firestick 3rd generation. I was plugged into the ethernet connector and was getting 54 mbps. Apparently they have capped out their speed at 100 mbps.. This one is 1GB. So. once I switched to this adapter along with an OTG cable I’m getting 423 mbps. I’m happy. no more constant buffering when trying to watch movies or TV shows.

If you need to connect your laptop to an ethernet cable this is the way to do it. The adapter is plug and play small well made and doesn”t slow down the connection at all.

Bought it cuz windows 10 update screwed up my Bluetooth wireless adapter so no way to fix it without grabbing an update and with my laptop not having a LAN port this did the trick. Just as it says: plug it in connect to router via lan cable…waited about a minute or less and it was all set. Did the update. Had a cheeky check for speeds…and I think it hit my max VirginMedia speeds of about 230 mbps. Plugged it out and back to wireless. Packed away; hopefully won”t need to use it again.

Worked as expected however problem with Chromebook it was brought for means no longer using. This is not an issue with this item which worked perfectly.

Didn’t even know this was a thing until our local ISP told us about ’em. They work! Plug and play and fast download speed compared to wifi – couldn’t be easier.
