I had a computer switch that lets you share a keyboard and mouse between multiple computers. It came with short USB 3 cables. I needed a longer one. I tried one I had and the keyboard would repeat characters since the signal was not good enough. So I got one of these cables instead. its longer. and the signal is strong and the keyboard and everything works fine now.
