it blocks out about 90% of the light however there is a small gap around your nose where light entersit is very soft however and the band is adjustable to suit all sizesQuite cheap so if your looking for a cheap eye mask I recommend this

I loved the softness and comfortable fit. It blocked out the light easily. I did find however that as the night progressed it became so hot and sweaty i had to take it off for a while. This caused a few sleep problems for me.
