This looks so much better than the dirty screen. It also fits the drain more tightly. Still stops garbage going down drain. Doesn’t bend when banging on the garbage can when emptying.

Honestly I only noticed these when viewing Cyber week deals. I thought they looked better than the kitchen sink strainer/stopper that came with my sink which always sits a little off kilter (and thus lets some things through) when I don’t want the sink drain totally closed. So I bought them on a total impulse. They arrived promptly are attractive and fit flat on my less frequently used side of my kitchen double sink.
