I had bought these for a previous iphone and later dropped it and it hit the sharp corner of a desk. The cover cracked and spidered in a number of directions. and I was just sure the screen would be damaged. too. But not a scratch! So when I bought my new iphone. I didn’t even take it out of the box until the new covers arrived (I’m clumsy!). And the process for putting it on straight was even easier than for the older versions I originally had. Definitely worth the money for the peace of mind!
