This screen protector is exactly what I needed! Not only is it glass. but it has that lightly frosted quality that makes it feel just like paper! It makes me feel like my screen is actually protected as opposed to the thin plastic paper type screen protectors! It works great with both the apple pencil and regularly! As long as you put it on correctly. My personal hot tip for ease of installation for all screen protectors: turn on your shower and let the steam weigh the dust down first for a while and then install your screen protector! (Keep the shower steam on while you do it) This way you won’t get dust. trapped and have bubbles under your screen! I found that this is the best way to keep your screen looking as good as possible!

I tried other textured glass screen protectors for my iPads. including some really expensive $40+ ones. but I keep coming back for this brand. As an artist who uses a lot of charcoal and textured paper in real life this textured glass feels the most similar to the real thing. Fairly easy to install without bubbles. Would definitely recommend.

Everything was included in the box for a nice and clean installation. and it was easy to put on using the frame. You can notice some glare when outside. and also. the fingerprints are very easy to see in the sun. but overall nice quality. It works great with my apple pen. and the screen surface feels like paper. Drawing performance is pretty good. and this is a good glass protector.

So my main reason for getting my iPad was to create digital art. initially in Procreate but I’m using Clip Studio Paint more and more these days. I don’t mind drawing directly onto the smooth iPad screen (although I know some who hate it!). but I’ve been wanting to try a textured paper-like surface for a while. Partly to see if it gives me a bit more control over my lines. and also because I know that many dedicated display tablets (Wacom Cintiq. for example) have a textured surface to mimic drawing on paper. and it would be good to get an idea of if I like that sort of thing before investing money into one..So I gave this one a try..I’ll be honest: installation was fiddly. I’m pretty dextrous. but between managing dust flecks. the frame. and air bubbles. it took way longer than I was expecting. I don’t think the frame was remotely helpful–if I order another one of these in the future. I’ll just be tossing the frame to the side and aligning it freehand..The air bubbles were pretty atrocious. but that was definitely partly my fault for being impatient and deciding I’d get them out after the fact. Don’t follow my example. I DID get the bubbles out. but it took some serious work. And on a hot summer day? Not fun..Once it was all on though. I was really pleased with how it felt to use. First thing I did was adjust the pressure curve of the Apple Pencil in my drawing apps. and it’s been working great. I’ve not noticed any permanent scratching yet. and my pencil tip is holding up. but it’s only been about a week so far..The colours are a little muted. but I think that’s just to be expected with a textured screen covering. so I’m not disappointed there. Touch sensitivity hasn’t been noticeably altered. and in fact I could have done with a bit less touch sensitivity when I was trying to get the air bubbles out! There’s no glare. but I was never really troubled with glare before I got the screen covering. And not having to deal with cleaning up fingerprints and screen smudges is one of my favourite things to come from using this screen covering!.I will almost certainly order another of these if the current one wears out.
