I used it with a a regular temp gauge and is was spot on. I feel using the laser helps but. if using liquid before checking the temp stir so you will have an accurate reading. I would recommend

Purchased for flat top grill temperature monitoring and it does just that. You can get a instant reading by pulling the trigger and letting it go or by holding the trigger down and moving thermometer side to side it reads varying temperatures on surface.

Very pleased with the thermometer. It seems well made and gives almost instant readings of temperature in my pans when cooking. Effective when used with a fry pan as well as when heating water based foods in a saucepan..avoids the need to insert a conventional thermometer. wait and then remove and clean.

For the money it does what it’s supposed to do. I’m sure it’s off a few degrees plus or minus. But then again I’m not a scientist so it doesn’t need to be exact. Then again every thermometer I’ve used over the years for baking or cooking has been off a few degrees as well. Very convenient and easy to use.
