I got this mainly for checking nail temps for dabbing. I needed very specific temperature ranges for what I was smoking and this worked pretty good. Tricky to get a steady accurate reading on a very hot rapidly cooling object. Especially on the quartz banger as it is clear. But still managed to estimate a close enough average and seems to work well. The thermometer works excellent on normal cooler objects. Overall I am happy with it. Good price.
