I needed an HDMI to VGA adapter to connect video between my PC Monitor (without HDMI input) and my DVD Recorder (no VGA output). Quality loss from HDMI to VGA wasn”t an issue because I was using the DVD machine to record via SCART connections from a VHS recorder which in turn was feeding out dubbed home video camera tapes from the early 1990”s . I didn”t need (or use) the adapter”s audio feed or the USB connector; I was able to use a separate phono plugged audio feed.

This cable convertor is gets the job done perfectly! Before making a purchase I went to local computer accessary store and those there would cost 24 to 50 bucks!
This one costs only 10 bucks but obviously has not much of a differece. At least I see no problem till today.
