The product works as explained there is no depletion in picture quality and the normal expected VGA quality is displayed. We used for setting up dual monitors by converting one of the HDMI outputs to VGA so that we could use two VGA monitors simultaniously. A power cable is provided to give USB power to the adapter but in our case this was not needed.
