I previously had an OtterBox case. Over the years it broke. and also broke my iPhone XsMax. The problem is that it has a flang over the lightning port. which put so much pressure on the port that it eventually broke it by putting a lot of pressure on the lightning cable. and also eventually broke off itself. The OtterBox didn’t work with the Apple Duo wireless charger (at least it didn’t work for me). so I replaced the OtterBox with this case..I like this case much more than the OtterBox. It slides more easily into my pocket. it feels good in my hand. it works with the Duo charger. and it doesn’t have a pressure-fit cover for the lightning port. In my experience. the case. combined with the resilience of the XsMax. is fine for dropping the phone carpet. hardwood or tile floors from waist height..I recommend this. for general home and office use.
